A new documentary, “A Showman’s Life” by Nice Cat Media, is here to whisk you away into the captivating world of the Showmen’s community within Cheetham Hill. The film was produced in conjunction the Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO), in partnership with The Showmen’s Mental Health Awareness Charity and Anglia Ruskin University

This film isn’t your typical big-top spectacle. It delves deeper, exploring the lives of those who keep the magic alive behind the scenes. Through interviews and archival footage, “A Showman’s Life” promises a glimpse into the rich history and vibrant culture of this unique group.

The documentary was borne out of research into the health and wellbeing of Showmen in Manchester. But it seems to offer much more than just statistics. “A Showman’s Life” aims to bridge the gap between the Showmen and the general public, fostering understanding and appreciation for their way of life.
